Student initiatives
Many sustainability initiatives at the university originate from students and/or students participate in them.
| forum n is committed to a sustainable higher education landscape in Austria. This is achieved through networking, further education and promotion as well as through cooperation, collaboration and dialog with internal and external university stakeholders and political decision-makers. |
| Extinction Rebellion is an international, participatory mass movement of civil society. Its aim is to use non-violent, civil resistance to persuade the world's governments to take decisive action on the climate emergency and concrete measures in the face of ecological catastrophe. |
| MoVe iT is a non-partisan campaign for a socially just and ecologically sustainable mobility system in the greater Graz area. The aim of the campaign is to implement 12 demands for soft mobility. |
| Oikos Graz is a student association in Graz and part of oikos international, a globally active student organization committed to sustainable business and responsible management. |
| Plant-Based Universities is an international, student-led campaign to ensure that all university catering is 100% plant-based. The aim is to limit the contribution of universities to the climate and environmental catastrophe and to change public opinion in favor of a plant-based food system. |
| The Students Association for Sustainability is a group of Graz students who are interested in and committed to sustainability and environmental issues; it organizes events as well as meetings to create and share ideas, exchange opinions, discuss and start projects and create networks (also across all fields of study). |
| SDG Ambassadors is a group of young and committed adults who are committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The aim is to spread knowledge about the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals around the world and contribute to their achievement. |
| Association for the promotion of solidarity-based economy, sustainability, equality and ecological development in urban areas. The association also supports and initiates community gardens and the use of green spaces in urban areas. |
| Steiermark gemeinsam jetzt is a community of active people who are committed to a sustainable society in which "a good life for all" is possible - here and everywhere, now and in the future, for us and all living beings. |
